Fuck Yeah Quebec — I’m heading to Montreal with my Family in a few weeks. Im super excited but unfortunately nobody close to my age is going on the trip. I was wondering if i would considered weird if i showed up to bars on Saint Laurent by myself? Like are people friendly and is there a chance of striking up conversations ? since im the youngest by far on the trip i doubt anybody would want to go to Dive bars after 11pm with me.

Yay, that’s great! You’re going to have an awesome time, and Montreal is super friendly so I don’t think you’ll have a problem striking up a conversation with anyone. Are you sure you want to go out on Saint Laurent Boulevard though? It can be kinda nasty-tacky! There are some super fun bars nearby just on Saint-Denis between Sherbrooke Street and rue Sainte-Cathérine that are usually full of university students and people passing through from out of town. St-Laurent can be kinda Jersey Shore.
